Photographs of New York Botanical Garden 50th Anniversary, 1941.

Photographs were taken on the occasion of the New York Botanical Garden's (NYBG) Fiftieth Anniversary, 1941, and depict members and directors of the Bronx Chamber of Commerce on the steps of the NYBG's museum building, and looking at cacti in the NYBG's Enid A. Haupt Conservatory. People pictured include William E. Boyland, New York City Tax Commissioner, and director of the Chamber of Commerce; Harry Goodwin, Commissioner of the New York City Board of Assessors and director of the Chamber of Commerce; Bert Gumpert, NEW YORK POST columnist; and others. A third photograph shows William Jacob Robbins, Director of the NYBG, in a laboratory in the basement of the museum building.
